I'm making a move for mental health!

This is really close to my heart. I have always struggled with mental health through out my youth and through out the years as an adult.

Now more than ever we need to show our support to our youth. It is ok to ask for help.

I'm making a move for mental health this October

By sponsoring my challenge, you'll be helping to prevent youth suicide. All funds raised will allow ReachOut provide all young people with the support they need to be happy and well.

Day 29 Reached my Goal

Friday 30th Oct
Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this month. I couldn't have done with all your encouragement. Making a move for my mental health, for our youth, for fun.
Visualising riding my indoor bike to Sydney Opera house _ not there yet...only half way there.
Having a try at Hula hooping. Trying zoom work outs. Even Tik tok challenges.

Learning that I can set goals and achieve them.

How are you making your move? What will you do for your Mental Health?

It's a 50/50 Day!

Thursday 29th Oct
Today there is 50 minutes left to reach my 930 minute goal and $50 to reach my fundraising goal of $1,200!

Fear is a Lie. Goals can be achieved!

Tuesday 27th Oct
Some days I struggle to set goals.I struggle to get out of bed. I struggle to live.
Fear is a lie.
Fear tells me that I am not good enough, I am not worthy enough. I can't do it. No one will want to help me. No one will support me.
For so long I have compared my life with others. How women look, how they dress, how they do their hair, their make up. Comparing how they house looks.
Social media platforms can feed into the fear and the lies.
So I am going to stop comparing myself.
I set a goal in September as I set up the Make a Move fundraiser - I wanted to raise $500 for ReachOut. Fear told me that I couldn't do it. But I did it anyway.
Day 4 of October, I reached that goal. I set a new goal. Raise $1,200. Still fear told me there was no way I could do this.
As of today with 5 days to go for this month, I have raised $1,150 for ReachOut.
So close to reaching my goal.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, and supported me this month! It has been great to try new things.

Thank you!!

It's Ok not to be Ok

Wednesday 7th Oct
I like this. Honour your feelings today. How do you do that? Go for a walk, take some time to listen to your thoughts. Play music that gets you moving and feeling. Find someone to talk to. Be real, Be honest, Be true to yourself. Reach out to someone today.

Day 4 Goal $500 Reached!

Monday 5th Oct
Yes we did it! We have reached goal of raising $500 to support our Youth! Seeing as I still have 27 days to go, I thought I would raise the Goal to $1200! We can do this!

Criticism or Approval

Saturday 3rd Oct
For years I have been my worst critic. Struggling with Self love, self worth. I have camouflaged myself and lost my identity. Picking up the pieces and seeing the GP this year for a Mental health and physical health plan. They both work together to get you feeling whole again. Sometimes you just need to try.

Wednesday 30th Sep
Tomorrow marks Day One of the Challenge! I am looking forward to this! I am grateful to you all who have viewed my page, to you all who have donated so far! Thank you for following me!

This is a year like no other.

Sunday 6th Sep
My heart is breaking as I hear the announcements about the Road map out of the current restrictions, and into what is called a "Covid Normal".

This a year has not been like any other.

I am a mother of three beautiful children.
One doing his Year 7, reaching his teenager milestone and not being able to hang out with mates at his new school and experience life as it was before.

One who is doing Grade 5 and for many years has always looked towards her friends for her ideas, needing to learn that her opinions and ideas matter and doing all without her structure of school and her friends.

One who is 3years old and living his best life with Mum, Dad and his brother and sister at home every day. Not completely understanding why we can't just go to the park.

As a parent, I need to be there for my children. I need to work out what my mental health looks like during this Corona coaster. You can imagine adding to that, supporting two school aged children who are very social and for the first time ever needing to learn to be creative and persistent on their own, without their school and routine.

There has been great sacrifice.
There has been silver linings in being home together.

I value our time together.

I look forward to the day we can go about our life with out the fear that Covid-19 brings when we leave our house.

Thank you to my Sponsors
